Death Death Death Part 2 30 Day Horror Film Challenge STRIKES BACK! Day 17

Day 17: Character you would want to talk horror movies with –

Michael Brower from Brainscan of course. We're talking about a kid who knows the inside and out of horror video games and movies. He's gotta a killer chill pad, bedroom (no pun intended). He's the A/V kid at school who had the balls to set up a club dedicated to film watching and then shows Death, Death, Death... pt 2 (does that exist?)

Me and young Edward Furlong go back a bit. I can remember going to the theatre when T2 came out and seeing him hack an ATM with an Atari portable computer. This is genius. I wonder if it isn't Eddie Furlong I want to talk to or maybe John Connor. I know that in recent history he's gone down a dark path and then maaaaaybe made some peace with his addiction and come back? Maybe? Hey, just look at Robert Downey, Jr.

All in all I'm just a big fan of this early 90's horror classic. It appeals to the dork in me. Mikey Brower gets the girl. Get accused of murder. Gets to hang out with a "demon"... play video games throughout the entire movie... commit murder (and you know something... he actually does... even if it's in the video game but really in reality)... and gets to jam to Primus with Trickster.

You know how I post a video from all my favorite 30 Day challenges? Well check this crazy fan vid out!

I bet he, Chainsaw and I could have a pretty decent conversation over several bottles of Jolt Cola, a few DVD's and a gallon of instant latex.

Thanks for the memories Eddie Furlong. Drugs don't kill people. Video games kill people.

-Dr. Terror aka Trickster, Jr.

By the by... awesome soundtrack. Primus. White Zombie. Mudhoney. Some of the early 90's classics.

Oh and ... "I don't think erections rape people, people rape people." ... this is why I need to hang with Michael.

  1. Brainscan does indeed have one of the best soundtracks in horror history. It's right up there with Return of the Living Dead, Demon Knight, and the Night of the Demons remake.

  2. The movie that The Horror Club is watching is a real movie, just not called Death, Death, Death Part 2. It is a 1973 film called La Saga De Los Dracula.
