Wolfcop has eluded me as of yet, but I promise to have some thoughts on it soon enough. Generally feedback has been positive and the poster art is bitchin. Today Wolfcop was acquired by Image and RLJ which means we should be seeing a wide release on DVD (if not Blu-ray) soon. We'll keep you posted on a release date as it happens. We regularly review movies for Image and the discs are always solid (though not all the movies on those discs are great). Wolfcop has been getting some seriously good feedback from a few of our friends.
We would love to hear your feedback on the picture itself or the poster art if you haven't had the chance to check it out.

IMAGE ENTERTAINMENT TAKES A BITE OUT OF “WOLFCOP”
LOS ANGELES (August 5, 2014) – Image Entertainment, an RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand, has acquired all US rights to the horror action comedy WOLFCOP. Written and directed by Lowell Dean, the film stars Leo Fafard, Amy Matysio, Aidan Devine, Jesse Moss, Sarah Lind, Jonathan Cherry and Corrine Conley.
The deal was announced today by Image Entertainment’s SVP of Acquisitions, Mark Ward.
“We are so thrilled to release this title and unleash the fuzz on audiences,” said Ward. “It’s a hilarious send-up of different genres that will take audiences on a wild trip.”
The deal was negotiated by Image Entertainment’s SVP of Acquisitions, Mark Ward, and Managing Partners Michael Paszt and James Fler of Raven Banner Entertainment brokered the deal on behalf of the producers.
WOLFCOP follows Lou Garou (Leo Fafard), an alcoholic cop who tends to black out and wake up in unfamiliar surroundings. However, lately things have taken a strange turn. Crime scenes seem oddly familiar; Lou's senses are heightened; and when the full moon is out, he's a rage-fueled werewolf. WOLFCOP is one cop's quest to become a better man...one transformation at a time.
WOLFCOP is produced by Lowell Dean, Bernie Hernando, Deborah Marks, Danielle Masters and Hugh Patterson and executive produced by J. Joly, Bill Marks, Brad Pelman, Sean Buckley and Brian Wildeen.
On behalf of the Cinecoup team, Brad Pelman, president of sales and distribution added "Image is a terrific company who embraced our brave idea. Wolfcop and the Cinecoup audience building idea will be embraced by Mark Ward and his team at Image"
Recent Image Entertainment releases include Devil’s Knot with Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth and directed by Atom Egoyan, Rage with Nicolas Cage and Danny Glover, and the horror sequel Wolf Creek 2.
