ARROW VIDEO is synonymous with putting out some pretty spiffy package options for Blu-Ray and DVD releases from around the globe.  Arrow provides everything from posters to booklets, special features to additional comment that make nerd boners grow faster than you can say, “Hustler magazine under my mattress”.  If you’re not familiar with Arrow Video or their amazing catalog you need to pull the bucket off your head, get your hands out of your pants and visit them HERE. And how does that related to Italian Horror Week?

Arrow Video has been gracious enough to let us giveaway two copies of their limited edition House by the Cemetery Blu-Ray (full notes below). This is the kind of thing that fans of Fulci have been waiting for.  I can assure you that since it’s Arrow, it’s genuine quality and since it’s a limited edition, you better get on this contest right about… NOW.

How do you win this puppy? Simple. First thing you do is go like Arrow Video over on the FaceBook and while you’re at it like Dr. Terror’sBlog of Horrors too. I want you to follow the happenings on both sites over the next year and really get a feel for what Arrow is all about and what we’re trying to do on this here blog thingy.

Second, and this is the FUN part, to win one of these gorgeous Blu-Rays you have to send in a picture of you or a friend dressed up as Dr. Freudstein from House by the Cemetery. Now, I’m not talking about a dead-on-balls accurate representation of Dr. Freudstein but get creative. It’s not necessarily the best likeness that wins. It’s really about having fun, winning a fucking awesome limited edition and loving Italian Horror. Make sure to send all entries to  and spread the word.  Please caption the photo and the subject line of the email THE VIDEO RECORDINGS ACT OF 1984, I SURVIVED!!!

We will announce the two winners on Friday, July 20th and this contest may be extended depending on response. Tell your friends to get the Freudstein on!

Feed my… Freudstein!

Full release notes from the Arrow Video website:

Arrow Video: The House by the Cemetery [Limited Edition Blu-ray]
Starring: Catriona Maccoli, Paolo Malco, Ania Pieroni
Directed by: Lucio Fulci
Rating: 18
Duration: 86 mins

Overview: You may have just mortgaged your life!

Shock gore master Lucio Fulci’s The House by the Cemetery is one of the finest typically single-minded exercises in zombie terror. Its just a shame no-one told the Boyle family who move into a gothic style house (by a cemetery) with a bloody past and a guts spraying future, what is yet to come! You’d think they’d twig given the basement door is nailed shut that they should get the hell out. Instead they stay long enough to discover their zombified non rent-paying lodger, the cellar-dwelling, flesh-hungry Dr Freudstein and boy is he pissed!
